zoorific morning

We had a great morning at the Tampa Zoo today.  Brody was heading up North to teach one of his Certification classes and he was able to spend an hour with us before he hit the road.

Jonah and I go to the zoo about once a month and today was the first day in a LONG time we've gone where we didn't sweat to death!  I am not saying it's pleasant yet, but Fall is definetly knocking at the door and mornings are tolerable in FL again.  Hooray!

Jonah still calls everything doggie, but he's getting better and even made monkey sounds at the Chimps, so cute!  He is very interested in birdies right now,so we had to stop at the Loorikeet feeding area to see some up close, and boy did we get "upclose".

After the birds, we saw a baby rhino that was born in July.  The picture was a bit far away, but he was so cute!

My little zookeeper
Petting zoo was next.  Goats, or doggies as Jonah (and daddy) called them.  He pet them, brushed their hair and clapped when the walked by.

We oohed and ahhed at the wallabies.

Wildly fun!
