My camera is back!

Brody took it to Turks & Caicos for his trip. Yes, I trusted him with my prize possession. And yes, he broke the lens :( But a quick overnight shipment from Amazon, and we are back to saying cheese!

I mean how can I miss one day of this documenting face....

Two years ago today, Brody, Charlie and I said aloha to our first island home, Kauai. I honestly can't believe it's been two years. And I must say A LOT has happened "post-Kauai." But I don't want to reflect on what has become, today I am nostalgic for the Pacific, for a very special place I was blessed to call home.

I really could name about a million more things, but I'll spare you. I do wish I would have appreciated it more when I was there, but I seem to always be in search of what's next in life. Something I am working on, as living in the moment is very hard for me. If Kauai taught me anything about myself it's that I need to appreciate each day God gives us. Kauai will always remain a very special place for me and I can't wait visit someday and share it with Jonah.

a few things I love about Jonah.

1. he snorts when he laughs

2. he loves playhouse disney in the morning, especially Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

3. he is just now starting to grow hair. very blonde hair.

4. he has a million toys, but only seems to like to play with water bottles, remotes, cell phones and computer cords.

5. he loves his dogs.

6. he splashes and squeals in the tub.

7. he refuses to eat anything but carrots and sweet potatoes.

8. he likes to sit at the front door and look outside.

9. he'll sit quietly in his stroller while mommy runs.

10. he loves the grocery store, especially when I give him green beans to chew on.

11. he bangs his hands on all flat surfaces like he's playing the drums.

12. he loves music and loves it when mommy dances to it.

13. he loves the dog's bones (unfortunately).

14. he now has 4 teeth (bottom front, top front).

15. he likes to watch me cook.

16. he loves to brush his teeth.

17. he loves other babies.

16. he is so advanced, we had to open up Grandma's Christmas present early....


17. he can be very dramatic


18. but he's quick to recover


19. and finally....he's a momma's boy through and through
